Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using North Andover Residents Directory. By using the service, you agree to them. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

1. Nature of This Service

North Andover Residents Directory is a private reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning people who live or have lived in North Andover, Massachusetts. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a government office, court, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, housing, or insurance
  • Scrape, copy, or republish service content at scale
  • Interfere with service operations or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Role

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Nothing on it, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. None of that information may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

4. Third-Party Links

Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, maintain their own terms and policies. We do not control their content, availability, prices, or data practices.

5. Warranty Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that information is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will operate or return correct results.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service or a linked resource, including decisions based on records found through either.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from misuse of the service or a breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The service’s original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote a brief attributed excerpt, but may not republish full pages or systematically copy the content.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a revision means you accept it.

10. Restricting Access

We may block or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, for a user who violates these terms or misuses the service.

11. Governing Law

Massachusetts law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Access to public records held by a Massachusetts custodian is separately governed by M.G.L. c. 66, §10, applicable exemptions including M.G.L. c. 4, §7(26), and 950 CMR 32.00; those custodian rules do not alter these private terms.

12. Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
